Secure your Financial Future: Complete an Information Technology Program at Florida Technical College

The best way to begin securing your financial future is by learning the skills that will equip you for a career in a field where the future is bright. The dependence of businesses on computer technology and information systems is unlikely to abate, especially as technology keeps changing and businesses strain to keep up.

We have got to keep up with technology.

Survey Says:

The unemployment rate for IT professionals in September 2014 was just 3%. Conventional wisdom might suggest that means that there are few openings in the IT field. That, however is not the case. What that number is really telling us is that the demand is so high that very few people in the IT field are out of work.

Computer World conducted a survey recently that indicated that 24% of the businesses surveyed are planning to add IT employees within the next year. Considering changes like investing in cloud computing and the growing need to secure systems and the information they contain, one respondent noted that these are “large initiatives, and you have to have the people to get those done.”

We learned how to get it done at FTC.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Standards expects, “Employment and output in computer systems design and related services … to grow rapidly over the next decade, outpacing similar professional, scientific, and technical industries and the economy as a whole.”

Top Ten Information Technology Jobs in Demand

While opportunities for programmers are expected to increase by a whopping 29% by 2020, all other major IT job classifications are projected to grow by more than 40%, with some expected to grow by more than 50% (See the DLS link).

The aforementioned survey found the following IT jobs that are, and should continue to be, in demand. The figure following each job title is the percentage of those surveyed who are looking for skilled talent for that position.
