We asked Ashley a few questions about herself and her role her at Florida Technical College! Here is what she shared with us:

Briefly describe your job in a way the the students can understand the benefits to them.

Helping students to identify the best program that fits their short and long term goals!

 

How long have you worked in education?  How long at FTC?

October 2022, brand new!

What is a fun fact about you that you are willing to share?

I once vacationed in Jamaica and swam with dolphins!

What is a quote or word of wisdom that is important to you?

“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” -Maya Angelou

What is your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment is completing my MBA degree in less than 2 years.

What do you love about your job?

I love helping students and seeing them accomplish their goals!

Briefly describe your background/journey.

I have been working in Higher Education for over 10 years. I am also licensed in cosmetology and real estate in Florida/Georgia. I have worked in those industries as well but I really enjoy working in higher education the most because I love seeing my students succeed!

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new student considering making a change?

Don’t allow fear to hold you back from what you truly want!
